SEARCHING - Overview

One of the most important aspects of computer logging is the ability to rapidly retrieve data, Winlog32 can retrieve data from the Logs and databases in a number of different ways.
Some searches perform very simple day-to-day tasks, some searches require a greater understanding.

Several powerful search criteria can be performed on the Log data and provide other essential data from the databases.

All Search criteria used in Winlog32 uses the powerful SQL database retrieval language

Pattern Matching can be used for Searching the Log, databases or other criteria, it is essential to understand pattern matching wild cards to get advanced results from your searches.

Mini windows, can be displayed on the main log window for making day-to-day searches for:

Callsigns Menu/Search/Callsign
Dates Menu/Search/Search- Date
Prefixes Menu/Search/Prefix
VHF Grid Locators Menu/Search/Grid Locator
Country Menu/Search/Country
IOTA Menu/Search/IOTA

Where more than one mini-window shares the same position - Double-click the mini-window border to hide.

Advanced queries can be used for the Log or individual databases with Search - Custom.
