Tools - Winkey (Winkeyer) Interface.

Quick Start

Use this quick start only if you have established your Winkey is working with your computer Com or USB port.

Connect the Winkey hardware to a free Serial Port and establish which port Winley is using

Open Winkey window: Menu/Tools/Winkey.

Click 'Options' toolbar button.

Click 'Port Setting' tab.

Select the correct Com Port or Virtual Com Port to use with the Winkey hardware, this MUST be a free port not being used by any other device.

Use the Speed control on the Winkey hardware to establish if Winkey hardware is working with Winlog32, if it is then then the Speed setting will change in Winlog32 correspondingly.

Using 'Options' configure Winkey to your personal preferences.

If the Com Port or VCP can not be opened; an error will be reported in the Winkey title bar; e.g. "Error on Comm #2"
N.B. A wrong com port, one not connected to Winkey may be opened successfully without generating an error. In this case Winkey will NOT work.
