This section is a general guide to getting going and intended for those who are using the log for the first time, some basic log keeping principles are explained and this section really is a MUST READ FIRST.

The logging software can be used for basic logging, but there are all the advanced features available you would expect from top logging software.
A more elaborate description and expansion of the basic and advanced features and functions will be described in more specific areas of the help pages.

When you started Winlog32 for the first time, you were prompted to enter your callsign, this was used to automatically make your first Log, so you should be ready to go.

The main logging window is divided into three sections, the Log Input (called The Log), the Log Page, the Search Page.

This screen shows the basic logging components, and the way they inter-react, Log (left), Log Page (top right), Search Page (bottom right)

Clicking a QSO in the Log Page will position the Log where it can be edited.

Double-clicking a QSO in the Log Page will position the Log and also perform a search - displaying previous QSO in the Search Page.

Double-clicking a QSO in the Search Page will position the Log to that QSO.

If you have used other logging software and have an ADIF file to import into Winlog32, then please see the relative IMPORT help section
