Tools - Winkey (Winkeyer) Interface.

Com Ports and hardware related options.

Winlog32 is compatible with both Winkey 1 and Winkey 2 (USB).

Com Port.

Select a predetermined com port for Winkey.
The title bar information will indicate "Winkey on Com#" if the port can be opened, otherwise the message "Winkey error on Com #" will be displayed.
The message "Winkey on com#" only indicates that the port can be opened by the interface, it does not confirm that you have opened the correct com port for Winkey.
A Virtual Com Port (VCP) is required for Winkey USB.
The VCP driver must be installed first; the driver is supplied with Winkey USB, or downloaded from www.k1el.com
See Winkey documentation for driver installation instructions.

Hardware tab

This option allows appropriate selection of the Winkey type.
Winkey 2 may work fine with Winkey 1 selected, however certain functions may be affected.

Winkey 2 has two key outputs plus two PTT outputs.
Selecting Winkey 2 will add two extra buttons to the toolbar; output#1 and output#2 which switch the key/PTT output.

PTT tab.

These settings advance or delay the switching of the PTT line, this is particularly useful with amplifiers.

Winkey 1 has limited possibilities with PTT switching; Winkey 2 allows two independent PTT lines to be switched.

See the Winkey documentation for full explanation of these settings.
